Zone 6 of the Forest Service Hispanic Employee Association

Pacific Northwest Region (Region 6) and Pacific Northwest Forest and Range Experiment Station (PNW)

Local chapters, or Zones in the Forest Service Hispanic Employee Association (FSHEA) consist of four officers and a representative to the National Council. Officers consist of a Chair, Co-chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Current Events

Mary T. Marrs, Regional Recruitment Program Manager, announced March 17, 2009 that Rolando Loya has been selected as the new full-time permanent Regional Recruitment Specialist, a new position created through the R6 Corporate Employment Outreach and Recruitment Strategy. Rolando is a Latino Youth Summit committee member for the The Hispanic Roundtable - La Mesa Redonda located in Olympia.

Organization

The Zone 6 Charter (pdf document) was officially recognized by the Regional Forester and Station Director in May of 1998. Zone 6 includes employees located with Region 6, the Pacific Northwest Region and Experiment Stations of the Forest Service. An initiation fee is no longer collected in Zone 6 Chapter. New members only pay the $20 annual due. Contact our treasurer to join.
